Living Landscapes is an ecological and edible design- build company that focuses on creating thriving, abundant ecosystems that provide food, habitat, and ecosystem services to you and myriad other beings. Our goal is to work with nature to create beautiful, functional, and sustainable landscapes that enhance the health and well-being of people and the planet.
Meet Owner and Lead Designer:
Dan Zehr
Living Landscapes was born out of a disconnect between what I saw in the landscaping industry and what I know it can be. Every project has the potential to benefit our own health and well- being as well as all beings that might inhabit the space. All designs are conceived through a lens of permaculture and environmental stewardship.
Dan Zehr
Founder, Owner, and Lead Designer
Dan is a master gardener, passionate foodie, mushroom log building, permaculture designer. After a life in landscape, he made the move towards legitimizing his design profession in 2021. Dan completed his Master's in Landscape Architecture at CU Denver, honing his design craft to the highest level in May 2024.

When he's not drafting linework in CAD or rendering in Lumion, you can find him recreating in nature, meditating, growing microgreens, tending to his indoor plants in the kitchen, or reading up on the latest landscape architecture trends.
